Resize Images to Fit your Digital Picture Frame

Pictures that I load from my computer do not show up on my digital frame. My Digital Frame shows pictures just fine when I insert the memory card from digital camera. Can I fix this problem?
This is a common problem. The problem occurs because the images are resized when they are downloaded from your camera to your computer. The software that comes with some digital frames allievates this problem. If you have a frame that did not come with resizing software, here are some solutions to help fix the problem.
Use a photo editing software to adjust the pixel size of the image you would like to put on the digital frame. Most of the digital frame manufacturers will have the optimal image display size in the owners manual. Some of the most common editors are Adobe Photoshop and Paint.net (this software is free, but please offer a donation because it is a great product and allows you to save the cost of buying photoshop.) Open your images in either program. In either program, choose “image” from the top menu bar. Then select resize image. You will then see these screens:
Change the pixel width and height to match the sizing for your digital frame. You may need to remove the “constrain properties” check box to get the correct ratio. Now save the image. You may want to give the image a new name, because the image has been resized from the original. Now put these images onto your digital frame. If you have Windows XP here is a solution that is much quicker for all your images.
Windows XP:
1. Microsoft offers PowerToys pluggins for XP. Go to this site to download the image resize if you have not already.
2. Once the resizer is installed, open the folder that contains your images. Highlight the pictures you would like to resize using your mouse and the shift or ctrl keys.
3. Now right click your mouse and select “resize pictures”. A box will pop-up with the standard resolution sizes. You click on the advanced tab and select custom to add you custom size. You can also select to resize the originals and not make copies.
4. You will now have new resized images (if you chose not to resize the originals). Put these onto your digital frame.
